Ana Morante

Ana Morante

Assistant Trainer

Ana Morante is a bilingual and bicultural marriage and family therapist certified in IFS and EMDR, and a certified family life educator. She was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where she earned her bachelor's degree in clinical psychology. After emigrating to the United States (California), she earned a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Jose State University.

Since 1995, Ana has been working in private practice and has worked in numerous mental health settings and community organizations. Most of her professional work has been dedicated to Latino, immigrant, and low-income populations.

Throughout her extensive career, Ana has specialized in working with complex trauma, integrating approaches such as Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, and EMDR. However, discovering the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model in 2018 was a turning point in her personal and professional life. Since then, her passion for growing in this model and spreading it in her environment has been a deep calling.

Ana is an assistant trainer at the IFS Institute and a certified consultant in this approach. She has also been involved in the creation of the “IFS LATAM Circle,” an initiative that supports the expansion of the model in Latin America. Motivated by her interest in Intentional Motherhood, she has also contributed to the formation of the “Circle of Being-Guided Motherhood,” an international space that accompanies mothers from different parts of the world in their important and challenging work, from the perspective of IFS.

Ana is currently delving deeper into intergenerational healing work and legacy burdens, both at the family and social levels. To this end, she continues her training with Kay Gardner and Thomas Hübl in the Timeless Wisdom Training program, which focuses on healing individual, ancestral, and collective trauma.

Círculo Mujeres

Círculo IFS Latinoamérica

The IFS Latin America Circle is a growing community of Spanish-speaking therapists and practitioners of LatinX, Indigenous, Afro-descendant, Asian, and Mestizo roots.

The circle aims to bring the IFS model to our home countries and the immigrant communities with whom many of us work. The circle is led by five IFS-certified therapists: Ana Morante from Peru, Maritza Erazo from Honduras, Rosa Bramble-Caballero from Venezuela, Regina Segura (Chicana) from California, and Analía Castaños from Mexico. More than 250 therapists have joined our circle after graduating from IFS Level 1 at the IFS Institute in the United States and Spain, and many of them, serving as Program Assistants, will be your teachers and guides during your Level 1 training.

Once you graduate from your IFS Level 1, you will be welcomed into this warm community that meets virtually every month to foster our connection and continued IFS learning.
